Solutions for a Changing Delmarva

Eastern Shore Land Conservancy (ESLC) is excited to unveil Solutions for a Changing Delmarva, a four-part virtual workshop series designed to inform and engage the Delmarva community about climate issues that impact the region. 

The workshops will feature presentations from environmental experts who will provide different views and ideas about community-driven solutions to protect the environment, and the value those solutions create for citizens and the places where they live. The content of the workshops will cover topics that are at the core of ESLC's Delmarva Oasis initiative which seeks to permanently protect 50% of the Delmarva Peninsula from development and natural threats.

Thanks to the generosity of the Rauch Foundation the entire workshop series will be FREE.

Workshop Schedule

• January 12th - Introducing a Changing Delmarva will introduce attendees to climate issues that affect Delmarva communities, farmers, and landowners while introducing the public to ESLC’s Delmarva Oasis Initiative.
• February 2nd - Carbon Sequestration on Delmarva will introduce attendees to the concept of carbon sequestration and offset generation to Delmarva residents. It will also cover ESLC’s ongoing efforts in the space and provide an overview of existing projects. 
• February 23rd - Natural Solutions to Protect Our Communities will discuss how nature-based solutions can protect Delmarva communities while improving local ecosystems.
• March 16th - How You Can Make An Impact In Your Community will provide Delmarva residents with tools to combat climate change and build resilience in the communities we live in.

You can register for just one workshop or the entire series if you're able to attend all four! We encourage you to join us for each one! Each workshop will begin at 6 PM on the corresponding date.
